Boards
In lighter winds, the 293cm length helps the board really glide through the water, making windsurfing an exciting option in sub-planing conditions for Free-Style, Touring or progression.
Once the wind gets up, the concave hull helps boost the board onto the plane making for great funboard sailing. The 293's versatility enables us at Windsurfing-Maine to have just one board model that covers alot of different needs from learning right through free-styleand into racing.
The Beach 185 D is compact board, and is suited to lighter beginner to intermediate sailors. At Windsurfing-Maine we have been using the 175 liter version of this board as a training and progression board in our fleet for about 6 years and have sold many to Kids Camps for their Fleets. The Beach series are rugged boards suitable for a first day beginner, yet with the ability to progress through more advanced techniques.
It glides well in light winds while maintaining good manoeuvrability. It is a very solid board with an EVA-foam pad covered deck and is tough enough for both sailing schools or rentals, and versitile enough for the whole family.
"We have had a bunch of these in the fleet, it is rugged and jibes on a dime, I'm a liitle big for this board at 225pounds but I use it for learning free-style tricks and fine tuning techniques". Ian Barclay
